The track is built to FIA specs, so it's one of the safer venues you'll find around here. They also went a step further from FIA and did some additional work to be more forgiving for member/club drivers who will 'off'. But, when the hot pits are on the 'outside' of the track it's difficult to design it where there's not some danger involved around those areas. In reality, that double apex coming on to the front stretch is one of the slower points on the track.
